REVOLUT X MAN CITY: PARTNERSHIP LAUNCH CREATOR ACTIVATION

At WeAreNinety, we love finding creative ways to connect fans with the brands they care about. For this campaign with Revolut and Manchester City, we combined premium gifting with creator-led storytelling to celebrate the club’s virtual cards and, of course, shine a light on Revolut’s new back-of-shirt sponsorship for the Carabao Cup.

A Creator-Led Gifting Moment
At the centre of the activation was a premium physical VIP Box, curated and gifted to a group of Manchester City-focused creators, including Ben Black, Elz the Witch, Lia Lewis, FG, MCFC Lads and Luke Stanley.
Each creator received the box directly, which featured a selection of Manchester City items, including the Revolut-sponsored back-of-shirt jersey, creating a clear and tangible link to the partnership announcement.
What made the activation particularly effective was the diversity in content output. Rather than forcing a single format, creators interpreted the box in their own way, from ASMR-style unboxings by Elz The Witch to football-led challenges from Ben Black.
This range of styles allowed the campaign to reach different segments of the Manchester City audience, ensuring the content felt authentic, varied, and native to each creator’s platform, ultimately driving stronger engagement and broader appeal.
Extending Reach Through Gifting
To further amplify the activation, we seeded product to key figures within the Manchester City ecosystem, including Kyle Walker, Tays, Natalie Pike, and Liam Loftus.
By focusing exclusively on City-aligned talent, the campaign ensured relevance, credibility, and stronger resonance with fans.
Driving Impact
By combining premium gifting with the right creators, the activation became a targeted content engine, delivering authentic engagement with over 12.8m views while reinforcing both product and sponsorship awareness.
